1. Super Junior’s Kyuhyun

Kyuhyun is famous for being a gamer, and it turns he gamed all the way up to the day of the College Scholastic Aptitude Test. The next day he completely screwed up the English listening portion of the exam, but still got into Kyunghee University.

2. Super Junior’s Ryeowook

Ryeowook is known for having perfect pitch. In a few months, he prepared for an entrance exam that took others several years to prepare for and finished with top marks. He was preparing to enter Seoul National University’s Department of Classical Composing but put this on hold to become a singer.

3. Super Junior’s Siwon

He graduated from Inha University with Ryeowook. Unlike Ryeowook who went to school a lot, Siwon wasn’t able to attend class often because of his schedules. One day, they went to school together and Ryeowook hung out with his school friends without Siwon. Needless to say, Siwon was a little putout.

Yeeun is also a known idol genius. She was preparing to attend Seoul National University, but in order to receive permission to train to become a singer, she handed in a blank exam paper. She passed the first round of admissions for Ewha Women’s University’s Law School and eventually attended Kyunghee University.

8. WANNA ONE’s Ong Seongwoo

Seongwoo attended Dong Seoul University and studied Theatre Arts while acting in musicals, plays, and short films. He was so active at school that he became the department representative during his second year.

Hongbin messed up registering for courses and ended up taking Korean Traditional Dance for his liberal arts course requirement. He was attending Dong-A Broadcasting Arts University for his degree in Musical Studies at the time.

The two were admitted to Howon University’s Practical Music department, which was known for being extremely hard to get into. At the time, there were only two male students in the entire department: Hyungsik and Changseob.

11. NU’EST W’s Aron

Aron was accepted to New York University for journalism but walked away to become a singer. He only got 8 questions wrong on the American Scholastic Aptitude and they were all math questions. His mark was in the top 0.5 percentile.

12. Girls’ Generation’s Yoona

Yoona graduated from Dongguk University with her degree in Theatre Studies in 2015. She was very active and even participated in group projects despite her busy schedules.

13. BTS’s Jin

Jin was just a regular Film Studies kid, heading to Konkuk University for class when he was street cast by Big Hit Entertainment. His professor called him “Hwa-Seok” – Hwa meaning flower, and Seok referring to his full name Kim Seok Jin. In other words, everyone knew he was a flower boy from the start!
