10 Idols Who’ve Completely Transformed Since Their Debut

From their debut to now, they’ve practically become different people!

K-Pop stars like to switch up their looks with each new comeback, but these idols go beyond the usual concept changes—from debut until now they’ve completely transformed!

1. BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon

Fans may have to do a double-take when they see this early G-Dragon photo! G-Dragon started out with a clean, boy-next-door look: the complete opposite of the versatile ‘bad boy’ image he has flaunted over the years. He has dyed his hair every color of the rainbow but is now back to black for his military service.

From 2006 until now, G-Dragon has kept fans on their toes with his ever-changing, experimental looks. In this photo, he appears to have made a departure from his punk-rock image to go for something a little more artsy.

2. BTS‘s RM

From weight loss to growing up, many of BTS’s member have gone through impressive transformations, but RM’s is arguably one of the most noticeable. When he debuted in 2013, RM was rarely seen without sunglasses and his retro hip-hop hairstyle inspired some curious fans to Google his ethnicity. BTS’s leader has since gone from swag to chic and emerged as a full-blown heartthrob.

3. Red Velvet‘s Joy

When Red Velvet made its debut in 2014, Joy was 18. Over the last four years, Joy has gone from adorable angel to glamorous goddess. She slimmed down her cheeks, lost her ‘baby fat’, and tapped into her mature side to become the incredibly sexy singer we know today.

4. AOA‘s Jimin

AOA’s leader started out in 2012 with a round face and a pure, sweet image. She still has that side to her, but ever since Unpretty Rapstar, Jimin hasn’t been shy about showing off her swagger. Jimin’s features have matured and sharpened, complimenting this rapper’s sassy side.

5. SHINee‘s Taemin

Taemin’s transformation is definitely one of this list’s most dramatic! When this baby-faced maknae debuted in 2008 his signature hairstyle was the bowl cut. Fans watched Taemin transform from fourteen-year-old cutesy rookie to the sexy icon he is today.

6. GOT7‘s BamBam

When BamBam debuted in 2014, he was seventeen years old but looked young enough to be mistaken for the group’s maknae. Like Taemin, BamBam entered the K-Pop world as a baby-faced idol and surprised fans by evolving into a heart-stopping hunk!

7. IU

IU debuted with LOEN Entertainment in 2008. Over the last ten years, fans have seen the fifteen-year-old rookie grow up into the elegant singer she is now.

8. CL

CL debuted in 2NE1 at the age of 18. From 2009 until now, many of the group’s former members have gone through noticeable physical changes. CL has always had a strong, sexy image but over the last decade, she has refined that image to become a glamorous superstar.

9. Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun

Kyuhyun made his debut as Super Junior’s maknae at 17 years old and is now 30 years old. How time flies! Since his debut, the singer has changed from a slightly dorky teenager to a sophisticated young man.

10. Suzy

When fans think of idol transformations, Suzy’s name is certain to come up. The former miss A member debuted in 2010 at age 16 and has become a more beautiful woman with each passing day!
