First up, Filipinos will never forget the rush they felt when local bet Pia Wurtzbach—who was originally crowned runner up—was announced by host Steve Harvey to be the actual winner of Miss Universe 2015.

2. Lambanog

Lambanog, a traditional Filipino distilled coconut liquor which has an alcohol content between 40 to 45%, was responsible for three deaths in Bulacan in 2019. To quell public unrest, the owner of Jimmy’s Lambanog drank the alcohol on live television to prove its safety in a personal way.
