10 Times Idols Said Something They Shouldn’t Have, And It Was Caught On Camera
1. HOTSHOT’s Ha Sungwoon (He was promoting with Wanna One at the time)
Wanna One’s live broadcast became a major controversy when the members were talking to each other thinking they were off camera. In particular, what people thought was Ha Sungwoon saying the “F-word” over and over again became a big issue leading to their fans going as far as to send their audio clip to a laboratory for analysis. The results showed that Ha Sungwoon did not say what people claim to have heard, but the credibility of the laboratory is a whole other story. Netizens were also upset about their reference to the slang term for “handjob”.
2. Red Velvet’s Yeri
Korean netizens were outraged when Yeri said in an interview in Pyongyang that it was an “honor” to shake hands with Kim Jong Un.
3. Teen Top’s C.A.P
C.A.P explains that he if he had a son, he would treat him well and if he had a daughter, he would beat and lock her up. He later explains that he would lock her in the house so that she would be kept safe from the dangers of the outside world, but one of the members added that being in the house sounds more dangerous.
4. Baek Yerin (formerly of 15&)
Baek Yerin responded to a hater on a live video with “F*ck you too, b*tch”. Later in the video, she also added, “Don’t hack my account! I’m gonna track you down, and I’m gonna kill you.” Despite her overly strong tone of voice, her comments actually garnered respect from netizens who thought it was courageous of her to stand up to her haters.
5. Jenissi (formerly of TOPP DOGG)
Jenissi uploaded a drunk video of him singing and then another video saying, “You guys like this huh, damn motherfuckers, putting up a middle finger.” Jenissi immediately posted an apology for his video.
6. VIXX’s Ken
Ken sparked controversy when something he wrote in a sketchbook was revealed to the camera while he was flipping the page. Through a screen capture, netizens found out that he had written “stop hitting me b*tch” and “f*cking b*tch” on the back of the sketchbook. He had written the comments, not to fans, but as a joke to Ravi who had hit him earlier. Nonetheless, some netizens began to criticize the group and the video was deleted shortly after.
7. Park Jimin (formerly of 15&)
Park Jimin goes off at JYP on After School Club to give her an album shouting, “Are you listening? I need to sing. I’m a singer!”
8. BOYS24’s Hwayoung
BOYS24 member Hwayoung created a huge controversy with a leaked audio clip of trashing his fans. In the audio clip, Hwayoung said, “I like being called oppa, not when I hear it from fans though, I fucking hate that. Ya, Fuck. It’s so annoying when we do the Hi-Touch. You know, the Hi-Touch? Like when you hold hands and greet fans after the concert is over. Everyday I go through like 700~800 people and I feel like I’m going to puke. Their fucking breath smells like shit.” The group’s agency made an official apology and Hwayoung was kicked out of the group.
9. Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon
Taeyeon had previously mentioned in a radio broadcast that Alicia Keys was “pretty for a black woman” causing some international fans to label her “racist”.
10. JYJ’s Jaejoong
In this leaked audio clip, Jaejoong lashes out at a sasaeng fan listing all the things that sasaeng fans do that apparently upset him very badly the “F-word” in literally every single sentence. One of the things in the audio clip that netizens were talking about in particular was Jaejoong’s reference to his car
