12 Times Anti-Fans May Have Conspired To Kill Idols

Hearing these stories of idols is enough to make you shudder with fear.

With many fans come many anti-fans as well. Even though people believe that famous idols are loved by everyone, they are also victims of anti-fans who send death threats. Frightening as they are, anti-fans send death threats very commonly to idols and can even happen daily. Here are 12 gruesome times when idols were victims of anti-fans.

1. Apink

Apink was threatened with phone calls that explosives had been planted at their destination. Due to these threats, Apink’s fansign event, showcase, Naeun’s Dongguk University event, and Eunji’s drama press conference have been cancelled. The suspect is supposedly a man in his 30s who resides in Canada.

2. GFRIEND’s Eunha

During a live broadcast, one of the viewers (who is suspected to be an international viewer) wrote a frightening comment threatening to kill Eunha. The user, whose ID was Yura Kireev, wrote, “eunha die in japan …kill you in Japan”. The user went on to mention SinB and Umji‘s name during their live broadcast threatening to kill them as well. The user was apparently well-known among the GFRIEND members as an anti-fan who had consistently made threats. They had even posted images of knives, guns, and gruesomely edited photos of Eunha’s face on their Instagram account, which has now be deleted.

3. TVXQ!’s Yunho

Back in 2006, Yunho drank what he thought was orange juice that was from a staff member. It turned out that the drink contained super glue which caused Yunho to vomit and cough up blood before fainting. Because of the scarring incident, Yunho became extra cautious around other people or locations that looked similar to the scene of the incident.

4. 2PM

2PM was frightened when they came across a gift from an anti-fan. They had received a bouquet of flowers that represented death in Korea. Thankfully, the members were not injured in any way after receiving the flowers.

5. BIGBANG

BIGBANG and EXO once made comebacks simultaneously, causing the two fandoms to flare up against each other. VIPs began panicking after hearing one EXO-L threatening to bomb one of BIGBANG’s upcoming concerts. Thankfully,  the EXO-L apologized for the threat shortly after. Although it was highly unlikely that the anti-fan would bomb the concert, the threat still caused much worry and fright among fans.

6. Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon

During one of their concerts, while Girls’ Generation was performing, a middle-aged man came on stage and pulled Taeyeon away. Sunny followed the man and, thankfully, he was stopped by the security guards before getting off stage. Nobody knows what the man’s intentions were, but it’s a big relief that nothing happened to her.

7. Jay Park

When Jay Park was making his departure from 2PM while promising to stop all activities, anti-fans were still infuriated. As a result, many anti-fans signed a petition that called for Jay Park’s suicide. The petition gained about 3000 signatures but was later deleted.

8. Han Geng

A “fan” once gave a box of cake to a staff member who passed it along to Han Geng. After opening it, the staff saw that the box contained bags of blood, a knife, and a stabbed photo of Han Geng. It was also confirmed that the cake contained poison in the form of powder.

9. Na Hoon A

While the veteran singer was performing on stage, Na Hoon A was slashed across the face with a knife by an anti-fan. To this day, the scar still remains on his cheek.

10. Do Ji Won

Actress Do Ji Won experienced a terrifying incident when an anti-fan kidnapped her and locked her in the trunk of a vehicle. In July 1998 Do Ji Won was threatened at knife-point by a “fan” couple who proceeded to lock her in the trunk of their car and drive around for 5 hours. In the end, they released her, but only after extorting ₩14 million KRW (~$13,000 USD) from her.

11. Kan Mi Youn

In 1999, due to the fact that Kan Mi Youn was dating Moon Hee Jun, the singer received an envelope full of razor blades as a threat. Mi Youn quickly reported the incident to the police.

12. Yoon Eun Hye

In 2000, Yoon Eun Hye, then a part of Baby V.O.X was attacked by a male anti-fan who squirted a soy sauce, red pepper, and vinegar mixture into her eyes using a water gun. As a result, she had to wear an eye patch on stage. The agency believed that the man had tried to blind the idol but Yoon Eun Hye refused to press charges after stating that her injury was minor. Additionally, the singer was also egged and had food thrown at her to the point where she was scared of anti-fans and refused to walk with her head up.
