15 Things To Remember When You Go To A K-Pop Concert

Don’t forget these things!

If you’re lucky enough to get tickets to a K-Pop concert then you’re probably super excited! But going to a concert takes a little bit of preparation and we’re here to help! Here are 15 things that you probably don’t want to forget the next time you attend a K-Pop concert.

1. Ticket

It might seem completely obvious but you do not want to be that person who forgets your ticket in your hotel room our at your house 3 hours away! So before you leave for the venue double and triple check that you have your ticket on you.

2. Phone/Camera

You’re going to be seeing your idols in real life so you’re definitely going to want to capture the moment. Some concerts have restrictions on what you can video or take pictures of but if you’re given the go-ahead, a phone or camera is a must! Just make sure you take extra memory cards and a power bank to make sure you’ll be able to capture it all.

3. Extra money

K-Pop concerts will have a ton of merch and you’ll definitely be tempted by it. Therefore, make sure you take some extra money so you can snap some of these goodies up.

4. Lightstick

If you have a lightstick, now is the perfect time to use it! You’ll be one with the crowd and be able to participate in the ocean event. And if you don’t have one, don’t despair. Although it’s different, you can always use the light on your phone with your fandom colors!

5. Banner

You’re going to want to show some love to your idols and one of the best ways to do that is by having a banner. Many times fans will create banners and hand them out to other fans at concerts or you could always make your own!

6. Wear comfy clothes

Besides your ticket, this might be the most important thing you shouldn’t forget! You’ll likely be spending a lot of time standing in queues and at the concert itself so you’re definitely going to wear something comfortable!

7. Bring a small bag

Having a small bag that’s able to hold some merch, extra money, and anything else that you’re going to want to take with you is a good idea. Just make sure the bag isn’t too big because you do not want to be carrying something like that around the whole time.

8. Tissues

Concert venues can be pretty warm with so many other fans and actually going to the concert is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. You will definitely want to come prepared. Tissues would be a good thing to pack because they do double duty for your sweat and tears!

8. Learn fan chants

If you want to become one with the other fans make sure you learn the fan chants. Plus it’s something pretty unique and shows some extra support for your idols.

9. Go early

Going early means that you might not be standing in that queue quite as long and you’ll have first dibs on the merch.

10. Don’t be shy

You’re at a concert with fans just like you. Engage them in a conversation and you might find a friend for life!

11. Cough drops

You’re probably going to be shouting and screaming a lot throughout the concert so your poor throat might need a little help from some cough drops.

12. Binoculars

If you know that you’re going to be far from the stage area, bring some binoculars. Yes, there are generally giant screens showing you what’s happening on stage but seeing them there doesn’t quite feel the same.

13. Earplugs

On the other hand, if you were lucky enough to snag tickets that are close to the stage you might want some earplugs. You’ll be buffeted by other screams and that can have a toll on your eardrums. It’s not a necessity but they could come in handy!

14. Lot’s of energy

Make sure you get lots of sleep the night before because you are going to want to have a ton of energy for the day of the concert. Dancing, fan chants, and the overall excitement of it all will definitely take its toll if you don’t come prepared.

15. Have fun!!

Okay so while most of the things on this list are completely optional the only two things you absolutely must have when you go to a K-Pop concert are your ticket and fun! The whole point of going to the concert is to have fun so enjoy your time there!
