18 Celebrities Who Paid Their Respects To The Sewol Ferry Tragedy
April 16th was the day on which over 300 people passed away en route to Jeju Island on the Sewol Ferry. The disaster remains a sharp pain in the hearts of South Korean citizens who continue and will continue to remember the tragedy and the damage it has caused. Many celebrities have also paid their respects to the cause this year.

Suzy posted on her Instagram an image of the yellow ribbon along with the message “remember,” to show her respects.
2. GOT7 Youngjae
GOT7’s Youngjae posted on his Instagram an image of the yellow ribbon that said “Remember 2014.4.16” with a link to his cover of the song “You, Who I Love”, which was written by a victim of the disaster.
3. Lee Sang Min
The singer who has recently been gaining popularity as a television personality also posted an image of the yellow ribbon that says “Remember 2014.4.16”.
4. Gong Seung Yeon
Actress Gong Seung Yeon posted a hand-written version of the lyrics to Lim Hyung Joo’s “A Thousand Winds” with the message “I will not forget the Sewol Ferry Disaster. I spent some time in silence after hearing this song on the radio a few days ago.” “A Thousand Winds” is a tribute song to the victims of the Sewol Ferry disaster.

I thought these children would become beautiful flowers and return with the coming of spring to their families and friends. That’s why I drew 304 fully-bloomed flowers and a boat that is drifting above them. Now I pray that April spring would become less painful month.”
