7 Girl Groups That Disappeared From The Industry As Fast As They Debuted

They were gone in the blink of an eye.

1. I.O.I

While everyone knew that I.O.I was only going to be together for a year it didn’t mean that people were any less disappointed when the group disbanded! The group had a number of hits and made a lot of money doing promotions during their year together. And because of their success, we got a second season of Produce 101!

This five-member group debuted at the end of March 2014 and disbanded less than a year later. During their time together, the group only released one music video and never had a fan club name.

Despite only being a group for 8 months (January to September 2014) the group put out 2 music videos, had a fan name, and even had a subunit!

BOB GIRLS debuted on June 10, 2014, and disbanded less than a year later in February 2015. The group only released two songs before their disbandment.

This 7 member group was formed back in 2012. One year later all but two of the members left the group. The group was presumed to be officially disbanded sometime in 2014 but no official announcement was ever made.

6. ChoColat

This group debuted in 2011. The group did pretty well for two years and even modeled for NBA Korea. Then, in 2013, the group became inactive. But it wasn’t until 2017 that the group officially disbanded.

7. TWICE’s Tzuyu, EXID’s Hani, and AOA’s Seolhyun

While these three were not an official group, they performed together a couple of times. They first performed at the 2016 DMC Festival’s Korean Music Wave Concert. Then they performed again at 2016 MBC Gayo Daejejeon. The trio has not performed together since even though fans loved them together!
