3. EXO’s Chen

EXO‘s Chen joined SM Entertainment through a recommendation from his vocal coach. Baekhyun entered first with Chen joining just three days later. It took Baekhyun and Chen four months to get into the debut group for EXO.

4. miss A’s Suzy

miss A‘s Suzy applied for Superstar K but was denied. However, she caught the eyes of a JYP official and began as a trainee. She trained for 6 months before debuting as miss A.

5. KARA’s Goo Hara

Although originally planned to debut as Rainbow, a former member of KARA left the group, allowing Goo Hara to audition for that position and debut as KARA. Her training period was around 3 months.

Apink‘s Jung Eunji successfully made the audition that was recommended by her academy and trained for two months before making her debut.
