9 K-Pop Idols Who Are Already Jumping On The "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" Hype

Since Animal Crossing: New Horizons released on the Nintendo Switch a few days ago, everyone’s been obsessed with it—including K-Pop idols. Here are 9 of the idols who are already hopping on the ACNH hype.

1. Mina & Jihyo (TWICE)

TWICE’s Mina has been spotted out and about with her Nintendo Switch case before, so it’s no surprise she’s already obsessed with Animal Crossing. In a recent live broadcast, Mina revealed that she can’t help but get on the game as soon as she wakes up—even when she’s in a hurry.

But she doesn’t always play alone. Leader Jihyo is into the game too. Mina said the pair took a lot of photos while playing, so hopefully they’ll upload them to TWICE’s Instagram soon.

2. J-Hope (BTS)

A few days ago, J-Hope took to Weverse to talk about how he’s spending his downtime now BTS’s schedules have been postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis. Alongside working out and listening to music, he also revealed that he’s thinking about trying Animal Crossing.

Fans aren’t sure if he has the game yet, though, as a few days later he told fans Animal Crossing seems to be out of stock already! Fingers crossed he shares pictures of his town once he starts playing.

3. Somi

You can’t talk about idols playing Animal Crossing without mentioning soloist Somi. After all, she’s the game’s current endorser in Korea! A week or so before the game’s release, Nintendo released an adorable CF of Somi enjoying her island.

If the CF is anything to go by, Somi’s native fruit is peach and she’s a budding fisherwoman. Her character is so adorable too.

4. Sakura, Hyewon, Yena & Yujin (IZ*ONE)

IZ*ONE’s Sakura has always been a big gamer. She has her own gaming channel on YouTube where she’s played several Switch games, including Splatoon 2.

Her latest obsession is Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which she plays with some of the other IZ*ONE members.

Sakura received a Nintendo Switch from a fan.

In a recently SakuMail update, she revealed that she’s been trading fruits and ore with Yena, Hyewon, and Yujin.

5. Seulgi (Red Velvet)

On a recent Star Chat event, Red Velvet’s Seulgi told ReVeluvs she wants to try Animal Crossing. Between them, the Red Velvet members have been gifted several Nintendo Switch consoles by fansites, so all Seulgi needs now is the game itself.
