1. Season 1 filming
Kim So Hyun lit up our screens as Love Alarm‘s Kim Jo Jo!
Childhood besties!
While the actors had to portray characters who suffered from hardships, they had fun working together on set!
Even if Kim Jo Jo, and Sun Oh didn’t stay together, they would always be each other’s first loves.
2. Season 2 script reading
A year later, the trio returned for Love Alarm 2‘s script reading, and Kim So Hyun shared some photos from it on her Instagram.
3. Season 2 filming
Although a lot of time had passed since the first season, the actors resumed their roles naturally with greater understanding.
Best friends forever, no matter what.
Song Kang had to portray Sun Oh, who struggles with complicated home life, then suffers from heartbreak. He expressed that the role allowed him to act outside his comfort zone. He said, “I’m normally on the playful side, but I tried to remove all that mischievousness on set to show a more mature and adult-like side.”
Jung Ga Ram, who plays Lee Hye Young, was given a chance to shine in the new season. He shared his experience working on Love Alarm 2 and said, “It felt like coming back home. It was very comfortable, and I tried acting more actively. I had fun filming.”
Thankfully Kim So Hyun doesn’t have to choose between Sun Oh and Lee Hye Young in real life! She shared respect for her costars. “Song Kang and Jung Ga Ram both have sincerity regarding their characters.” She said, “We could film while trusting and relying on each other.”
Love Alarm 2‘s director, Kim Jin Woo shared his experience working with the actors on set. “The actors are on the same wavelength, so they showcased high focus and great energy.” He explained, “Rather, I think I was nervous on set that I wouldn’t be able to convey all that energy perfectly.”
Friends on screen and off.
