BLACKPINK are true queens of K-Pop and their achievements just keep stacking up! Although it has only been 24 hours since “Kill This Love” dropped, BLACKPINK have already smashed a number of records and clearly look like their on their way to smash some more! Here are all the records BLACKPINK has broken with “Kill This Love” so far!

1. Even before their “Kill This Love” EP dropped, they took the #1 spot on China’s QQ Music with 24,265 copies sold in digital presales.

 

2. When their “Kill This Love” MV dropped it broke the record of fastest video in history to surpass 1 million likes on YouTube.

They reached the major achievement in 30 minutes! The previous record was held by Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next” at 33 minutes.

 

3. “Kill This Love” also broke the record for the fastest music video in history to surpass 2 million likes on YouTube.

BLACKPINK reached 2 million likes in only 1 hour and 49 minutes!

4. “Kill This Love” debuted at no. 1 on the Worldwide iTunes chart and entered the top 10 on US iTunes at no. 6.

When it reached no. 6 on the US chart it became the highest charting single by a Korean girl group in US iTunes history!

 

5. BLACKPINK became the first Korean girl group to enter the top 3 on US iTunes.

 

6. Shortly after achieving top 3, they shot to no. 1 on the US iTunes list becoming the first girl group in 10 years to do so.

7. BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” mini-album received a 2x Platinum Certification on China’s QQ Music, becoming the first K-Pop girl group to achieve this!

They also became the group to achieve the fastest 2019 group sales so far.

 

8. Their “Kill This Love” MV became the fastest K-Pop music video to reach 10 million views.

The reached the milestone in only 4 hours and 13 minutes! Previously the record was held by BTS’s “IDOL” at 4 hours and 16 minutes.

 

9. BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” also broke the record for fastest K-Pop girl group MV to hit 20 million views!

Hitting 20 million in just 9 hours and 38 minutes, they broke the previous record of 10 hours and 27 minutes set by TWICE and their “Yes or Yes” MV back in November.

10. Their MV surpassed 36.26 million views on YouTube in less than 18 hours.

BLACKPINK broke their own record! Previously, “DDU-DU DDU-DU” held a 24-hour record of 36.2 million views!

 

11. It also set the record for fastest K-Pop girl group MV to reach 40 million views!

BLACKPINK achieved this record in just 19 hours and 45 minutes!

12. BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” holds the record for the 2nd biggest 24-hour video debut in YouTube history!

“Kill This Love” received over 46 million views in the first 21 hours!  And in 24 hours, their MV reached 49,852,930 views!
