As said by YoonA herself.

Girls’ Generation‘s YoonA and 2PM‘s Junho set fire to the 2021 MBC Music Festival stage with their performance of Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello‘s “Señorita.”

In a recent interview with ELLE KOREA, YoonA was asked, “Did you know that your 2-second “Señorita” meme is a hot trend?” Check out the four facts that she revealed below!

1. Main focus

YoonA revealed that she was, in fact, aware of the meme. Rather than the dance itself, she felt that the focus of the performance was their facial expressions. Because both are prominent actors, their facial expressions were a treat to the eyes!

My ‘Señorita’ performance 2-second meme? I did see it. The main focus would have been our facial expressions as we are both actors.

2. Similarity to “The Boys”

Thinking back to the dance, YoonA exclaimed, “Oh! The choreo where I split my leg.” It reminded her of a similar move in Girls’ Generation’s hit song “The Boys.”

3. Thoughts on meeting again

YoonA went on to describe how it felt to reunite with a 2PM member after 12 years.

Apparently they say that around 12 years ago, 2PM and Girls’ Generation did a stage together on the same spot. It felt new that we met again to do a stage together.
