5 Disappointing K-Drama Series That Viewers Got Sick Of Watching In March 2026
When an exciting, new show is announced, K-Drama fans eagerly add it to their watch lists. Unfortunately, some highly anticipated new series, as well as previously released series, fell flat for viewers in March 2026.
1. Boyfriend On Demand
BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo and Seo In Guk star in this highly anticipated Netflix series about a burnt-out webtoon producer who subscribes to a virtual reality dating service. Through this service, she gets to experience customized romances with men who don’t exist in the real world. Things get complicated when the lines between her digital dating and real-life job begin to blur.

Some viewers found the concept interesting but the execution lackluster.

2. Idol I
This ENA series follows a woman who is a lawyer by day and a K-Pop fan by night. She’s known for taking on strange cases, but when her K-Pop bias becomes involved in a murder case, she has to set aside her fangirl feelings to uncover the truth.

Some viewers who dropped the show felt that it got “really boring” as it progressed.

3. Our Universe
This coming-of-age romantic comedy is about two in-laws who end up in an unusual situation: living together while raising their orphaned nephew. The problem is…they don’t like each other much.

Some viewers lost interest in the show over time, while others stopped watching it because their expectations weren’t met.

4. Siren’s Kiss
Starring Park Min Young, Wi Ha Joon, and Kim Jung Hyun, this tvN romantic thriller follows an elite insurance investigator who starts investigating an art auctioneer suspected of killing her former lovers. The deeper he dives into the case, the more at risk he becomes of drowning in this mysterious (and potentially dangerous) woman.

For some viewers, the romance lacked chemistry between the leads, and there were possible pacing issues.

5. Still Shining
This JTBC Netflix K-Drama is a second-chance romance-drama. It follows two people who were forced to part ways after they fell in love in high school. They reunite years later, during their thirties. Will their love story have a happy ending this time?

Some viewers said that this highly anticipated series went “downhill,” and that they felt frustrated while watching the story unfold.
