With 2024 on the horizon, here are eight of the most highly anticipated Korean dramas set to be released in December 2023 to keep you warm this winter.

1. Sweet Home 2 — December 1

The webtoon adaptation starring actor Song Kang makes its return with season two, continuing Sweet Home‘s battle between humans and monsters.

2. Welcome to Samdalri — December 2

In the romantic comedy, Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hae Sun play childhood friends who grew up together in Samdalri on Jeju Island. After growing apart and moving away, they reunite in their hometown and begin a romance.

3. Night Has Come — December 4

In the horror thriller Night Has Come, high school becomes a real nightmare for a class of unlucky students. A field trip turns into a deadly game of mafia that forces them to work together to survive.

4. Soundtrack 2 — December 6

Soundtrack returns with new leads Keum Sae Rok and Noh Sang Hyun, along with a new story of romance. After their college romance ends because of the difficulties of post-graduate life, they reunite years later.

5. Maestra: Strings of Truth — December 9

The mystery K-Drama is inspired by the French TV series Philharmonia. Actress Lee Young Ae plays a secretive conductor who finds the truth behind the mysterious events surrounding her orchestra.

6. Death’s Game — December 15

Seo In Guk and Park So Dam are the leads in the webtoon adaptation Death’s Game. After seven years of failing to get a job, a man turns to suicide to end his suffering. Instead, he meets Death and is given the punishment of dying twelve more times to avoid going to Hell.

7. Like Flowers in Sand — December 20

Using the backdrop of traditional Korean wrestling (ssireum) in Geosan, Like Flowers in Sand documents the struggles of young adults trying to find themselves.

8. Gyeongseong Creature Part 1 — December 22

Starring Han So Hee and Park Seo Joon, Gyeongseong Creature is finally making its debut. In the mysterious historical drama, a series of missing person cases leads two adults into a disturbing reality.

Gyeongseong, 1945. In Seoul’s grim era under colonial rule, an entrepreneur and a sleuth fight for survival and face a monster born out of human greed.
