Garo Sero Institute’s “Fake” Evidence Against Kim Soo Hyun, According To His Agency

Since March, actor Kim Soo Hyun and his agency, GOLD MEDALIST, have been locked in a public battle with Garo Sero Research Institute and the bereaved family of actress Kim Sae Ron. Among other things, GOLD MEDALIST has denied that Kim Soo Hyun’s relationship with the late actress began when she was a minor, and they have called out these key pieces of “evidence” as fake.
1. “AI” Voice Recordings
Recently, Garo Sero Research Institute held a press conference that introduced new evidence against Kim Soo Hyun. An audio recording of Kim Sae Ron speaking to an acquaintance on January 10, 2025 about her relationship with Kim Soo Hyun alleges that the couple had sex when she was 14 years old.
Kim Sae Ron: The first time we did it was when I was in 8th grade, during the winter vacation.
Acquaintance A: Wow, 8th grade?
Kim Sae Ron: Even then… F***, thinking about it now, should I say that I was being taken advantage of?
Law firm LKB & Partners, the legal representative for Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, GOLD MEDALIST, claims that the voice recording is AI generated, not a real recording.
Garo Sero claimed they had obtained an audio recording of the late actress Kim Sae Ron at the press conference. However, the recordings were forged entirely, and Gold Medalist believes that the audio files were created using AI.

2. The Informant’s Injuries
At the same press conference, Garo Sero Institute revealed that the informant who had Kim Sae Ron’s voice recordings, which expose the alleged perpetrators responsible for her suffering, was brutally attacked. GOLD MEDALIST, however, claims that the photos of the informant’s injuries are fake, taken from the internet. Both Garo Sero Institue and the informant refuted this accusation.
Garo Sero’s false claims are unacceptable and difficult to accept even with common sense. The photos revealed as evidence can be found through an internet search. Garo Sero and the informant are claiming that a photo they found online is an assault photo.

3. KakaoTalk Conversations
Since the controversy began, GOLD MEDALIST has spoken on Kim Soo Hyun’s behalf. On March 31, 2025, Kim Soo Hyun held a press conference to personally address the ongoing controversy. During this press conference, he claimed that KakaoTalk conversations revealed by Kim Sae Ron’s family via Garo Sero had been doctored.
Kim Sae Ron: “You’ never wake up.”
Kim Soo Hyun: “Yeah, I wouldn’t know, even if you kissed me.”
Kim Sae Ron: “So you wouldn’t notice even if I did it a few times. Yay.”
Kim Soo Hyun: “When can I hold you and fall asleep? I think I’d be able to sleep really well then.”
Kim Sae Ron: “Yeah, I’ll let you do that.”
Kim Soo Hyun claimed that he had the messages from 2016 professionally analyzed to prove that they were false.
To prove this, I submitted all the relevant messages — the 2016 and 2018 chats provided by the family, as well as my own recent chats with acquaintances— to a scientific forensic institution for analysis.
The result: The institution concluded that the person in the 2016 messages is not the same as the person in the 2018 messages. This has been the most painful part of this controversy.

4. Photos
Since the controversy began, one of the most discussed pieces of evidence has been the couple photos taken by Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun. GOLD MEDALIST has directly addressed several of these photos, claiming that while some of the photos are real, the timelines are not.
Garo Sero Institute claims these pictures were taken when Kim Sae Ron was 16 years old and in 9th grade. They said that Kim Soo Hyun kissing a 9th grader on the cheek is disgusting.
The fact check from Kim Soo Hyun’s side states this picture was actually taken after 2019, which makes both individuals adults.
GOLD MEDALIST also claimed that one particular photo, taken outside of Kim Sae Ron’s apartment, isn’t of Kim Soo Hyun at all.
Garo Sero Institute claims Kim Soo Hyun would frequently visit Kim Sae Ron’s apartment. While her family opposed her meeting Kim Soo Hyun, who is much older, Kim Soo Hyun would continuously approach Kim Sae Ron while she was underage.
The fact check from Kim Soo Hyun’s side states The man in the picture is not Kim Soo Hyun. They reiterated that Kim Soo Hyun has never been to Kim Sae Ron’s old home in Ilsan. The claims made that he visited her home while her family was gone is groundless.
