6 K-Pop Groups Turning A Decade Old In 2024

Some are more active than others!

There’s only a little over a month left of 2023, which means 2024 is just around the corner. There are several major K-Pop groups that debuted nearly a decade ago that will be turning ten in the next year, and they’re worth recognizing! Here are six popular artists turning a decade old in 2024.

1. AKMU/Akdong Musician

| YG Entertainment

This brother-sister duo, Chanhyuk and Suhyun, debuted on April 7, 2014 under YG Entertainment with the album PLAY. Their last release was the single “Love Lee”, which came out on August 21, 2023.

2. GOT7

| JYP Entertainment

GOT7 debuted under JYP Entertainment on January 16, 2014 with the EP Got It?, and while they left their label in January 2021 after the expiration of their contract, the group remains non-disbanded with members Jay BMarkJackson WangJinyoungYoungjaeBamBam, and Yugyeom.

3. LABOUM

| Interpark Music Plus

LABOUM debuted in August 2014 under NH Media as a six-member group, but have since moved on to their current label, Interpark Music Plus, as of September 2021. They’re on hiatus but not disbanded, with the four remaining members — Soyeon, ZN, Haein, and Solbin — looking for a new label.

4. MAMAMOO

MAMAMOO debuted with the EP Hello under RBW on June 18, 2014 with their current four members Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein, and Hwasa. Though they’re not all still under RBW, they haven’t disbanded, and their last group comeback was with the album Mic On released in October 2022.

5. Red Velvet

| SM Entertainment

Red Velvet debuted under SM Entertainment with the single “Happiness” on August 1, 2014. Originally a four-member group consisting of IreneSeulgiWendy, and JoyYeri joined the line-up in March 2015. They just had their most recent comeback, Chill Kill, on November 13.

6. WINNER

| YG Entertainment

WINNER debuted as a five-member group under YG Entertainment on August 17, 2014 with the studio album 2014 S/STaehyun left the group in November 2016, and the remaining members are YoonJinuHoony, and Mino. Their last group comeback was with the album Holiday in July 2022.
