K-Pop Idols Make Best — And Worst — Dressed Lists With “2025 Met Gala” Looks

On May 5, the 2025 Met Gala took place, inviting numerous celebrities for a night of fashion. This year’s theme was Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, with a dress code of “Tailored For You.” The event was intended to be a celebration of Black dandy styling, the first time the event’s focus was on Black styling and Black designers.

K-Pop idols attended the event this year and, like previous years, attracted attention for their visuals.
As a result, several have been added to major media outlets’ best and worst dressed lists.
1. SEVENTEEN’s S.Coups
The SEVENTEEN member was dressed in an all-grey ensemble with multiple layers. The outfit is thought to be inspired by traditional hanboks and combined with this year’s theme and dress code to create a fusion look.
British GQ praised the look for being attention grabbing despite being in a color that could be the opposite, naming him in their “Best Dressed Men” list. Variety also named him amongst the top looks of the night.
2. BLACKPINK’s Jennie
Jennie wore a black-and-white ensemble featuring a suit-like top and a skirt over pants, a combination that suited the evening’s dress code.
Jennie was mentioned in Variety’s “Best Celebrity Looks” list, as well as The Cut‘s. People Magazine was “wowed” by her look, while she got a nod from CNN in their “Best Looks” list.
3. BLACKPINK’s Lisa
Lisa wore Louis Vuitton printed tights, a blazer, and a decorative body suit. She went without pants for the look, joining the “exposed underwear” trend in a way that earned mixed reactions.
Lisa was mentioned in CNN and Variety‘s “Best Celebrity Looks” lists, with praise for her daring sexy look. On the other side, Lisa was named in The Cut’s “Weirdest Met Gala 2025 Looks,” while In-Touch Weekly’s addition to their “Worst Dressed” list commented that the look looked “unfinished.”
Regardless of how the outfits were received, these idols each made history!
