As public figures, K-Pop idols have to be mindful of everything they say and do, especially when out in public or on camera. At the end of the day though, they’re just as human as the rest of is, so sometimes they can’t help f**king up!
1. Chanyeol (EXO)
When Chanyeol said “oh sh*t” during a live broadcast, he reacted in the cutest possible way.
2. Jackson (GOT7)
During a broadcast, Jackson accidentally mispronounced the Korean word for “example”, which made it sound like he was swearing. Jinyoung teased him about it by asking if this was how the rest of the show was going to go down.
3. Sunny (Girls’ Generation)
Sunny could not stop swearing during this driving test, but she did manage to catch herself before she swore too intensely. She toned down “아, 씨발” (“Ah, shi-bal”, meaning “oh sh*t, or “oh f**k”) down to the less offensive “아, 씨” (“Ah, shi”).
4. Youngjae (GOT7)
Even people who don’t normally swear can turn into full-on truckers when put in a frightening situation. Youngjae said the same curse word Sunny did during her driving test, then apologized when his members told him not to curse. Two seconds later though, Youngjae cursed again because the Mystery Box scared the words right out of him!
5. Jimin (BTS)
Although Jimin didn’t technically swear during this episode of American Hustle Life, the way he pronounced “beach” like “b***h” threw V for a loop!
6. Lee Hong-ki (FTISLAND)
When Lee Hong-ki dropped the F-Bomb (twice!) at the Golden Disk Awards, the look on Super Junior‘s Siwon‘s face summed up everyone’s reaction.
7. Jungkook (BTS)
Jungkook generally does not swear much (at least, not on camera), but he once swore in English so epically that fans now consider “Oh man, holy sh*t” as one of his iconic quotes. When Jungkook said this, Jin choked on his wasabi!
8. Sungjong (INFINITE)
In 2016, Sungjong nearly swore while applying costume makeup on camera, but he managed to catch himself in the nick of time. He apologized to his fans, then continued the live broadcast without further slip-ups.
9. B.I (iKON)
B.I‘s rapping skills are no joke, but even he can make mistakes now and then. When B.I. messed up his lyrics during a concert, he swore in panic. Both his swearing and his reaction to it made his audience burst out laughing.
10. Lay (EXO)
On episode 8 of Go Fighting, Lay got the scare of his life when he reached into the water. He shouted “oh f**k!” when he discovered a snake hiding inside a ball he had opened.
11. Mark (GOT7)
When Mark said “아, 씨” (“Ah, shi” / “ah, f**k”), Jackson covered it up by saying “aishiteru”, Japanese for “I love you”.
12. Taeyeon (Girls’ Generation)
At one point, Girls’ Generation had a no cursing rule, but Taeyeon has been guilty of breaking it multiple times. When Taeyeon swore after nearly getting hit with a mic, her members’ reaction was priceless!
