9 Female K-Pop Idols Who Showcased Their Confidence By Rocking The “Visible Underwear” Trend

What do you think of the trend?

In the past, there have been conflicting views on various trends that have crept into K-Pop, whether it’s the underboob or the visible thong straps. Recently, another trend has found its way back into the spotlight and although maybe not as extreme, is the “visible underwear” trend.

Here are nine female K-Pop idols who are showcasing their confidence and pulling off the unconventional trend!

1. BLACKPINK’s Lisa

BLACKPINK’s Lisa was one of the most recent idols to gain attention for joining the trend. The idol recently sent the internet into meltdown with her sexy look in the “Shut Down” title poster.

In the picture, Lisa was wearing an asymmetrical low-rise skirt showcasing some shorts with a chain. It gave off the illusion of “visible underwear,” although they were shorts.

2. LOONA’s Heejin

Another idol who recently wowed netizens by joining the trend was LOONA’s Heejin. The young idol became a hot topic on social media after uploading photos on Instagram, where she embodied the trend.

In the photos, Heejin was wearing pink jeans, which were loosened to show her underwear. She exposed a lot more compared to the idols but showcased her confidence!

3. IVE’s Jang Wonyoung

Earlier in the year, another hot trend that hit K-Pop and the K-Drama industry was MIU MIU‘s low-rise brands. Jang Wonyoung was one of the idols to rock the trend.

4. BLACKPINK’s Jennie

Back in 2021, Jennie was one of the idols that brought back the iconic trend. As an ambassador for Calvin Klein, Jennie has always promoted the brand and did the same on her Insatgram. Sporting a pair of statement blue jeans, the fit was just low enough to showcase her figure.

When she was in Paris, she also rocked the trend but with the more Parisian outfits, it looked more sophisticated and could easily be seen in some of the most fashionable cities in the world.

5. MAMAMOO’s Hwasa

When it comes to fashion, MAMAMOO’s Hwasa has always hit back at haters and showcased her own perosnality through the clothes she wears.

Back in 2019, Hwasa did it again after rocking the trend at the airport. Despite accusations she was “flaunting” her underwear, the idol looks stunning.

6. ITZY’s Lia

Although less obvious, ITZY’s Lia also rocked the trend while performing on stage. With more block colors that blended with the outfit, the Versace underwear was clearly on show.

Yet, with the more subtle colors, the design and elegance worked perfectly with Lia’s visuals and presence on stage.

7. 2NE1’s Sandara Park

2NE1’s Sandara Park has always gained attention for her unique fashion taste, whether it’s her hairstyle or what she wears. When the group shocked the world by reuniting at Coachella, along with the iconic Dara hair, the idol was a true boss with her androgenous outfit.

8. Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon

Fashion is for any time of the day, and Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon proved this when she sported the trend in the rehearsal room.

Sporting an iconic Calvin Klein underwear set, the veteran idol looked like she was ready to debut again, with her timeless visuals and effortless elegance.

9. ITZY’s Yuna

Like fellow band member Lia, Yuna also had a more subtle take on the visible underwear trend when performing.

Due to the fact that there was no pattern on Yuna’s shorts, it blended effortlessly into her pants to create something much more suited to being on stage.
