These are the ladies taking 2019 by storm.

Since it’s officially June, we’re almost halfway through 2019. From January to May, these are the girl groups that had the most album sales. These sales are as reported from Hanteo as of June 1, 2019.

5. WJSN – WJ Stay?

Starship Entertainment‘s representative girl group WJSN‘s WJ Stay? mini album is the 5th best-selling girl group album of 2019 so far. The album reportedly sold 49,231 copies.

4. GFRIEND – Time For Us

In January, GFRIEND came back withTime For Us, their second full album. Time For Us sold 60,976 copies since its release, making it the 4th best-selling girl group album of 2019.

3. BLACKPINK – Kill This Love

The 3rd best selling girl group album of 2019 is BLACKPINK‘s internationally acclaimed EP Kill This Love. In just a little less than two months after its April 5 release, Kill This Love has amassed 167,128 sales. Interestingly enough, all three of the top girl group albums were released in April. April was indeed a powerful month for girl groups.

Our runner up is TWICE‘s FANCY YOU, which was released on April 22. FANCY YOU has garnered 175,034 sales in just a little over a month. This is no small feat, but this is TWICE we’re talking about.

The Number 1 highest selling girl group album of 2019 so far is IZ*ONE‘s HEART*IZ. HEART*IZ was released on April 1st and has sold 184,117 copies in exactly 2 months. IZ*ONE is the youngest group on the list, but what they lack in longevity they make up for tenfold in popularity.
