Even though JBJ has disbanded, their fans are making sure the members names are still out there. Takada Kenta recently appeared on Produce 48 and also announced he will promote as a duo with Kim Sanggyun.
ASTRO will release their special mini-album Rise Up on July 23 after a period of delay when Fantagio Music was in a state is disarray.
Sad news came this month for B1A4 fans as it was announced that members Jinyoung and Baro will be leaving WM Entertainment. The activities of the group are still under discussion.
17. THE BOYZ
THE BOYZ just released a special single Keeper on July 12, which was produced by Block B’s Park Kyung.
TVXQ just completed a Japanese tour and immediately announced another one, supporting their 25th Japanese single Road. They’ll visit 10 cities for a total of 32 concerts, including 4 each in the Tokyo and Kyocera Domes.
15. Golden Child
Woollim’s rookie boy group recently announced their first single album Goldenness on July 4. The album has a special meaning, as it is also the name of their fanclub.
BIGBANG may be in the military but that doesn’t mean the public has forgotten about them. Seungri will also be releasing his first album The Great Seungri and begin his solo tour shortly after the album’s release.
It has been 4 months since VIXX have released something musically, but the members are staying busy, with Hongbin acting in tvN drama Hundred Million Stars From the Sky, Ravi releasing a mixtape, and N choreographing for MYTEEN.
The Unit’s boy group has seen good success in their debut (or re-debut for some members). They just made their comeback on June 28 with their 2nd mini-album Black Heart and have been promoting on TV shows such as Idol Room.
11. Super Junior
Super Junior just welcomed back Ryeowook from the military, leaving Kyuhyun as the only member left before the entire group has gone through the 2 year mandatory service. They are going strong with their Super Show 7 concerts and their TV show, Super TV.
NCT has been noted as one of the next big boy groups by numerous North American outlets and there have been rumors flying about their next set of plans, including new subunits and all 18 members participating in a new track, however nothing has been confirmed.
SEVENTEEN will be making their comeback with their 5th mini-album You Make My Day on July 16. They will also be starting their international leg of their Ideal Cut concert tour starting August 31 in Hong Kong.
Infinite won’t be a full group for a while, due to Sunggyu enlisting. However the members will continue to promote individually, with Sungyeol acting in his first movie 0.0Mhz and L’s drama Miss Hammurabi will wrap up next week.
WINNER’s comeback was all the way back in April, but they have still been ranking high thanks to their public friendly songs and huge popularity at university festivals and military events. They are preparing for their EVERYWHERE tour, which begins August 18 in Seoul.
6. NU’EST W
NU’EST W released their 2nd mini-album Who, You on June 25 and have continued promotions for that, winning #1 on the July 6 episode of Music Bank.
BTOB released their 11th mini-album This Is Us back on June 18 and ranked very high on music charts. They also delighted their fans by announcing they all renewed their contracts with Cube Entertainment.
EXO just became the first non-royal family to have their faces projected on the Burj Khalifa’s LED screen. Even though they have not made a comeback in 2018 yet, they are still promoting with their 4th concert tour EXO Planet #4 – The EℓyXiOn.
SHINee released all 3 parts of their 6th full album The Story of Light and have been steadily promoting. The members have also been busy with individual activities, with Minho’s movie Illang set to be released on July 25.
2. Wanna One
Wanna One claimed the 2nd and 3rd most sold albums in the first half of 2018 and have been touring the world on their One: The World concert tour. Their next concert will be tonight, in Jakarta, Indonesia before they continue on throughout Southeast Asia.
BTS was recently announced as the artist with the most album sales in the first half of 2018 and are busy preparing for their expected August comeback with a special album. They will also begin their sold out world tour on August 25.
