3rd Gen Idol Literally Becomes A Saja Boy For “KPop Demon Hunters” Covers, Triggering Mixed Reactions
As “KPop Demon Hunters” remains one of the top movies on Netflix, more and more fans have taken to giving their spins on the characters.
While HUNTR/X are popular subjects for cosplays, ones of the Saja Boys also earn hot reactions. In particular, Abby Saja, with his exposed abs and himbo personality, has become very popular for those wishing to dress up as characters from the movies.
Recently, it seems a popular idol finally listened to requests from fans to take on the character.
On June 8, Wonho shared a dance challenge of himself dressed in the Saja Boys’ traditional wear while in their demon forms. Though he was performing his song “Better Than Me,” the caption promised more of Wonho in the cosplay.
On July 9, Wonho shared just that, revealing his incredibly accurate cosplay of Abby in a short cover video. The idol went to extra lengths to even include non-performance scenes, showing off his true resemblance to the character.
The idol performed parts of both “Soda Pop” and “Your Idol,” switching to the traditional outfit for the second song. Wonho took extra steps with his performance, recording his vocals for both songs and learning the choreography.
While many were impressed with Wonho’s cover, some shared negative comments, accusing him of seeking attention among other less than constructive comments.
