5th Gen Idol Saved From Underage Fan’s Inappropriate Behavior During Video Call

“The staff finally doing their job.”

One of the best parts of being a fan of K-Pop groups is the interactions between fans and idols. These happen in several ways, but one of the more recent and widely sought-after ways is video calls or fan signs.

Like their IRL counterparts, fans can chat with idols one-on-one but with more privacy as no other fans are physically present. And while this can often be a great thing, sometimes fans take things too far and create awkward moments with idols.

Recently, extra action had to be taken during a video call with TWS‘s Dohoon.

TWS are currently promoting their latest album, Try With Us, and have been doing events, including video calls. During a recent event, a fan spoke with Dohoon and asked if he preferred younger or older girls.

Dohoon asked the fan her age, and when she responded that she was 15, he said he liked older girls.

When asked why, Dohoon responded that she was too young, and she seemingly changed the subject and asked him to move closer to the camera. She then asked him to pout in a certain way, which proved to be a trick when she wondered why he wanted to “kiss her.”

At that point, the translator for the call says what, and when she repeats herself, the translator says that she should skip the topic because she was underaged.

With video calls that go viral for the wrong reasons, fans often wish that staff would speak up, like this one did in this situation. Many expressed gratitude that the person spoke up, saving Dohoon from the situation.

It is important to remember there are boundaries when speaking to anyone, including idols, and that those should be respected to keep everyone comfortable.
