A few updates you may need to know about T.O.P’s military enlistment

There are a few updates you may need to to know about T.O.P’s military enlistment. (HINT: It’s sooner than you think.)

The military enlistment service in South Korea is a legislated mandate. It applies to all male citizens aged between 18 and 35 years old. It is a mandate that consists of a rough two years for all Korean men, including celebrities. One of the celebrities slated to join as early next year is BIGBANG’s T.O.P.

On November 11th, the results of the compulsory police examination were released. The results revealed that he was qualified to enlist as a conscripted policeman.

Here’s what this confirmation means for T.O.P’s enlistment.

  • T.O.P will reportedly receive his enlistment notice within the first two weeks.

  • He will first receive basic military training at the Nonsan Army Training Center. Then, he will start his duty as a conscripted policeman.

  • This qualification means that he should start training within three months.

This news is bittersweet for fans. T.O.P receiving his enlistment notice creates a shadow with BIGBANG’s upcoming promotions. G-Dragon and Taeyang are due to enlist for next year. Soon, younger members Daesung and Seungri will follow.

In other news, BIGBANG is set to release one last album before the year ends.
