Brand New Music‘s boy group AB6IX will go on hiatus following the expiration of their exclusive contract.
In a statement shared by Brand New Music, they shared news of AB6IX’s upcoming contract expiration.
Hello, this is Brand New Music.
First, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the fans who have loved and supported AB6IX over the past seven years.
AB6IX, who have been with us since their debut on May 22, 2019, will see their exclusive contracts come to an end on May 25th. Following sufficient discussions with the members, AB6IX will enter a period of hiatus upon the conclusion of the 2026 AB6IX CONCERT ‘6IX TO SEVEN’ held on May 23rd and 24th.
We are currently engaged in in-depth discussions with the members regarding contract renewals, and we will fully respect and support the choices of the members as they consider their next chapters.
AB6IX is Brand New Music’s first idol group and a group of great significance that has carried a new musical direction and sense of possibility. Through their journey that carried them from MXM and Wanna One to AB6IX, each member has grown in their own way and firmly established themselves as artists.
Through a wide range of creative endeavors, they have built a sound and identity that is uniquely their own, striving at every turn to connect with fans through music and performances with genuine sincerity.
We will do our utmost to provide full support to ensure that all activities scheduled through May, including the 2026 AB6IX CONCERT 6IX TO SEVEN, are brought to a successful conclusion.
Once again, we extend our deepest gratitude to ABNEW who have stood by AB6IX for so long and ask for your continued love and support for all four members (Jeon Woong, Kim Donghyun, Park Woojin, and Lee Daehwi) in the chapters that lie ahead.
