While many of these shows feature primarily regular people, celebrities from different backgrounds have sometimes appeared. Actors, and even the occasional idol on a couple of occasions, have joined shows in hopes of finding love (or maybe even getting a boost in fame).

K-Pop Idol Appearing On Dating Show Confirms Group’s Disbandment

Recently, one idol revealed that she got close to appearing on the program after managing to submit her application.

In a video released on her YouTube channel, Jeon Somi showed her workout routine alongside her personal trainer.

As the pair went through at-home workouts, the trainer mentioned that comments on a previous video said that she looked like Kim Min Gee, who was one of the cast members for Single’s Inferno 5. This then prompted her to tell a story in from the past, sharing that she got a random call from the Single’s Inferno team.

Somi then looked at the camera sheepishly, as the trainer explained that Somi had used her phone number to submit an application. Somi recalled the application, saying that she had to include photos so she took them in the gym and included them in the application.

While she obviously did not appear on the show, Somi left a future try open, saying that “it could happen.”
