Three years after Squid Game became a global sensation, the show is finally back with season two.

While the new season is already receiving various praise and criticism, a certain actor’s appearance has garnered much attention from viewers.
Online community boards have started to post about actor Song Young Chang, who was previously accused of having sex with a minor.

In September 2000, he was accused of having sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old minor. It was reported that they had sex twice in his car at a vacant lot near a park in Goyang.
He then became the first celebrity to be arrested on charges of prostitution of a minor.
They also stated that while most similar cases are usually caught by police working undercover, this case was caught as the minor remembered the actor who had been kind to them, which made it an important factor in indicting him.

Since then, he has mainly worked on stage musicals as he was permanently banned from appearing on the main broadcasting companies, KBS, EBS, and MBC.
Korean netizens were shocked at the news and couldn’t believe they would cast an actor with a criminal background.

- “Bunch of criminals.”
- “Is the casting requirements to have a criminal history.”
- “I heard his daughter is a musical actress..is he not ashamed to see his daughter.”
- “Is this some sort of criminal party?”
Meanwhile, actor T.O.P also received criticism just after the show premiered.
