Actor Jang Ki Yong Finishes Military Service And Reveals A Top Actress Visited Him While He Was On Duty
Actor Jang Ki Yong went to fulfill his military duties in August of 2021, and finally—one year and six months later—he has been discharged.
Recognized for his acting in Come Hug Me, Search: WWW, Now We Are Breaking Up, and other K-Dramas, Jang Ki Yong had been diligently appearing in many productions before he enlisted in the military.
He starred alongside Song Hye Kyo in Now We Are Breaking Up, where the two had amazing chemistry despite their 11-year age gap.
Song Hye Kyo and Jang Ki Yong must have gotten close through the production because he appeared on SBS‘s Cultwo Show last year and revealed that Song Hye Kyo went to visit him while he was in the military. Actors Choi Hee Seo, Yoon Na Moo, and Kim Joo Hun from Now We’re Breaking Up also visited him.

It was also revealed that he renewed his contract with his current agency, YG Entertainment, before going to the military. Now that he has fulfilled his military duties, Jang Ki Yong will jump right back into acting with his agency’s support.
YG Entertainment confirmed that he has already been offered a lead role in the upcoming drama, Not A Hero, however, there is no confirmation about whether or not he will take on the part.
