Aespa’s Karina And NingNing Make Netizens LOL With Their Contrasting Behavior Towards MONSTA X’s Joohoney
The world of a K-Pop idol is always tough as there are a lot of expectations of stars. They are very easily subjected to criticism, especially when it comes to interactions with the opposite gender.
Recently, aespa‘s Karina and NingNing gained attention for their difference in behavior when interacting with a senior male idol.
While some idols tend to feel awkward around each other, one person who is the definition of an extrovert and social butterfly is MONSTA X‘s Joohoney.
The idol recently made his solo debut with the EP LIGHTS and released the iconic title track “FREEDOM.”
As part of Joohoney’s promotions, the idol has been doing TikTok challenges with several other artists, including aespa’s Karina and NingNing. Unsurprisingly, the three idols worked perfectly together and absolutely shined in the unique choreography.
In particular, considering Joohoney’s reputation for being a major aespa fan, it was even cuter.

Netizens noticed that NingNing didn’t touch Joohoney’s shoulders during the choreography, instead choosing to float above them while she was dancing.
The video also joked that she was trying to avoid any dating scandals that could appear if it happened, which sadly impacts idols in K-Pop.
When the video was posted, netizens couldn’t get enough of the difference between Karina and NingNing’s stance in the video with Joohoney, sharing how funny it was that both aespa idols had such contrasting behavior.
Yet, others shared the reasons they thought were behind the contrasting behavior. While some pointed out that Karina generally had a “cooler” attitude, others shared that NingNing was probably worried about rumors more, especially due to the expectations on foreign idols.
Of course, netizens would love male and female idols to interact naturally. However, with some netizens still having negative responses to any kind of interaction between idols of the opposite gender, it’s not surprising that many are still apprehensive.
