On May 10, aespa’s Karina and Giselle were guests on KBS Cool FM’s Park Myung Soo’s Radio Show. The host, comedian Park Myung Soo, led the two members through various topics, such as if the leader of aespa has any special benefits (they don’t) and the “point move” in their choreography for “Spicy” involving their pinky finger.

They then showed us a snippet of the choreography for “Spicy.”

They had fun and even burst out in laughter after bumping into one another.

Park Myung Soo then asked a question regarding Parents’ Day, asking what they did for their parents. Giselle shared that she told them she loved them.

I videochatted with them. When I was in Japan recently for work, I saw them a couple times and told them lots of good things… and I told them I love them.

In Korea, May 8 marks Parents’ Day, a national holiday celebrating parents for all they do for their children. It’s tradition to give parents carnations as a gift on this day to symbolize our love and thankfulness towards our parents.

Whether it’s a physical gift or the gift of loving words, Karina and Giselle’s parents must have felt their daughters’ love.
