ARMY Reimagines “Bridgerton” With BTS Songs Other Than “Dynamite”

“Black Swan” would have been amazing.

Spoiler Alert

This article reveals plot details of a current movie or series.

Netflix and Shondaland‘s hit period drama Bridgerton, adapted from Julia Quinn‘s novel series, finally returned last week with Season 3. It focuses on beloved characters Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).

While everyone can’t stop talking about the infamous carriage scene (if you know, you know) featuring the orchestral version of Pitbull‘s 2011 track “Give Me Everything,” there is another classical cover of a pop song we need to discuss.

And that is BTS‘s “Dynamite.”

In 2022, Vitamin String Quartet teased ARMYs via Twitter (now X), asking what BTS song they would like to hear in Season 3 of Bridgerton.

Ahead of Bridgerton Season 3 Part 1’s release, Netflix revealed the list of orchestral covers included, and BTS’s “Dynamite” was confirmed.

Naturally, ARMYs were excited BTS would be featured in some way.

Yet many were also disappointed and skeptical. They had wished for “Black Swan” from the start, and it felt like the perfect choice.

Still, ARMYs attempted to watch Bridgerton with an open mind. The Vitamin String Quartet version of BTS’s “Dynamite” was heard in Episode 2 of Season 3, as Eloise spoke to her new lady friends at a ball while others danced to the song. Many ARMYs felt a sense of pride as they watched the scene and heard the familiar tune.

An ARMY, Eliott (@onceiwasbeloved on TikTok), was one of the many ARMYs who still felt disappointed by the song choice.

So, they have shared clips from Bridgerton with orchestral versions of popular BTS songs. The clip with fan-favorite “Black Swan” garnered 303.3K views at the time of writing.

Eliott posted another clip, but this time with “Pied Piper.” It went viral with 1.3M views at the time of writing.

Eliott even revisited Season 1, during one of Simon and Daphne’s iconic scenes, with “Fake Love.”

A most chilling reimaging was “Mikrokosmos” for one of Queen Charlotte and King George’s dance scenes. For Queen Charlotte lovers, there’s also the heartwrenching dance scene of Reynolds and Brimsley with “Spring Day.”

I know the rhythm of the song doesn’t match the dance but bffr – it’s their song #bridgerton #bts #btsarmy #oiwb #mikrokosmos #oiwb

How amazing would these scenes have been?

Unfortunately, likely, we’d never get one of BTS’s more beloved songs in Bridgerton. As some have pointed out, “Dynamite” was distributed by UMG (Universal Music Group). The other songs would probably be far more complicated and even more expensive to get the rights to use.
