Netflix‘s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender was released on February 22, 2024, a day after the beloved original animated series celebrated its 19th anniversary. Although it’s been a couple of weeks since its release, it’s still gaining attention due to its cast.
Dallas James Liu, who portrayed Prince Zuko, has been especially a fan-favorite. Now, our worlds are colliding as netizens discovered he is also besties with a beloved K-Pop idol.
Recently, netizens resurfaced a 2023 post made by Bobby Nam (username Kordaxx on Twitch). It included photos from GOT7 member Mark Tuan‘s the other side ASIA TOUR 2023-24.

Eagle-eyed netizens spotted a familiar face in a group photo. It was none other than Dallas Liu.
Dallas actually even appeared on Mark Tuan’s YouTube channel three months ago. Dallas was featured in the Taipei concert vlog, as he visited with Mark backstage!
Netizens were shocked to discover that Dallas and Mark have been friends this entire time. Some wondered when this friendship even began!

Based on Dallas’ post in 2021, it appears that the two met at the premiere of Marvel Studios‘ film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Dallas portrayed the younger brother of Awkwafina‘s character, while Mark did OST “Never Gonna Come Down” with BIBI.
The next year, Dallas shared a post supporting Mark, who released his solo song “Last Breath.”
