In 2015, Cube Entertainment debuted the girl group CLC, featuring a line-up of five members. Two members were added to the group for its third comeback, Refresh, bringing the total to seven.

With the release of “Hobgoblin” and a concept change, the group saw a huge increase in recognition, charting internationally with the track and subsequent ones.

However, in 2020, Elkie requested termination of her contract, citing that she had not been paid for her acting activities and that Cube had ceased providing “developmental support” to CLC. Her contract was terminated in 2021, and thereafter, the rest of the group’s members left the company.

Most recently, member Eunbin departed from the company, the last to do so.

CLC’s Kwon Eunbin Reportedly To Retire From Industry

Earlier this year, it was rumored that the group would reunite for activities, including concerts, for their 11th anniversary. Along with Eunbin‘s apparent desire to retire from the industry, it was also said that Yujin would be unable to participate due to schedule conflicts with her activities as a member of Kep1er.

This greatly angered fans, who demanded to know why arrangements could not be made.

On June 1, new images of CLC were posted online, featuring all the members except Yujin, entirely confirming she will not be participating.

This additional confirmation has continued the previous feelings of disappointment and anger.
