Big Hit Entertainment Announces Strict Legal Action Against Malicious Posts

BTS has had enough of the negativity and will see no more of it.

As BTS‘s popularity continues to skyrocket internationally, the boy group has also inevitably seen a hike in their ‘haters’ and the amount of malicious posts, comments, and rumors that followed. To this negativity, BTS’s agency Big Hit Entertainment has released an official statement declaring it will now respond with strict legal action.

On June 15, 2018, Big Hit Entertainment posted a “Notice of Legal Action Against Violations of Artists’ Rights” on the official fan website, stating that the management agency will continue to pursue its strict no-tolerance policy.

Bit Hit Entertainment is currently already involved in some lawsuits and investigations , against haters who “have posted recklessly malicious comments about the agency’s managing artists” for defamation, and will not be forgiving or lenient.

“The agency will continue to monitor and collect any malicious postings that violate the artists’ privacy and rights and habitually ‘cyberbully’ them. When we take legal action against such persons, we will not be lenient and will do our best to protect our artists.” — Big Hit Entertainment

The agency thanked the ARMYs, who have always supported the agency since its first attempt to legally respond to haters, and asked that they report any cases that may also be malicious. Fans are celebrating the agency’s decision to push for zero tolerance!

“Hello, this is Big Hit Entertainment.

Regarding the malicious posts, comments, and rumors that defame BTS and violate the members’ privacy, Big Hit Entertainment will be taking legal action as notified in this announcement.

Since 2016, thanks to the fans who initially helped us track down the issue, Big Hit Entertainment has been enforcing a no-tolerance for malicious posts, comments, and rumors and responding to all cases with legal action.

We are currently involved in lawsuits that are investigating those who have posted recklessly malicious comments about the agency’s managing artists. We would like to emphasize that the agency will continue to monitor and collect any malicious postings that violate the artists’ privacy and rights and habitually ‘cyberbully’ them. When we take legal action against such persons, we will not be lenient and will do our best to protect our artists.

All legal action will be handled by the agency’s legal team and a professional law firm in partnership and through them only. Please note no other individual has been appointed in any way for this.

Thank you for the love and support for BTS. Should the fans have anything to report to the agency, please follow the instructions below to email an official statement. Big Hit Entertainment will continue to work hard to protect its artists’ and their rights. We will also keep you updated on how the cases unfold. Thank you.”
