BIGBANG’s G-Dragon Revealed To Have Made The Most Expensive Apartment Purchase In Seoul’s History With Cold Hard Cash

News that BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon had purchased his luxurious home in cash has netizens in awe.

On the September 14 episode of Mnet‘s TMI News Show, the show revealed a list of “K-Pop’s Best.”

G-Dragon is one of this generation’s icons who has consistently kept his popularity. His sneakers, signature pose, and music are all iconic.

The show would then go on and reveal details about G-Dragon’s home. The house, located in the hipster neighborhood of Hannam-dong in the Yongsan district of Seoul, is said to have assigned parking and private elevators to ensure privacy and that residents are able to take advantage of the apartment’s screen golf and wine storage.

MC Boom then revealed the gaudy price of the apartment, considered one of Korea’s most expensive to live in.

The apartment’s yearly communal expense is ₩13.0 million KRW (about $9,350 USD) alone and costs an average security deposit of ₩6.00 billion KRW (about $4.31 million USD) to rent. G-Dragon bought his home for ₩16.4 billion KRW (about $11.8 million USD) without any loans. He paid for his home in cash.

According to court filings, G-Dragon bought the penthouse apartment at the Nine One Hannam complex last March for ₩16.4 billion KRW (about $11.8 million USD), making it the most expensive apartment purchase in Seoul’s history. Previously the record was for a ₩14.5 billion KRW (about $10.4 million USD) purchase of an apartment in The Penthouse Chungdam complex located in Chungdam, Gangnam.
