BLACKPINK Becomes First K-Pop Girl Group To Perform At The MTV VMAs
K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK will be attending the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards that will take place at the Prudential Center in New Jersey. YG Entertainment stated, “BLACKPINK is preparing a special stage that will brighten the award show. The members and staff are doing their best to bring a meaningful moment to fans around the world”.

The VMAs are one of the four major American popular music awards and BLACKPINK will be the first K-Pop girl group to appear on this stage. They are also the fourth girl group overall to perform after TLC, Spice Girls, and Fifth Harmony. In addition, the group will pre-release their single, “Pink Venom” on August 19 before attending the VMAs.
