BLACKPINK Fans Demand Apology From “AAA” Over “Discrediting” And Snubbing The Group

BLACKPINK truly deserves to be treated like the queens they are.

In less than twenty-four hours, BLINKs have had their hands full dealing with two issues that arose from awards shows snubbing BLACKPINK.

On top of the 2020 APAN Music Awards not including the group as part of the top artists who contributed to K-Pop’s popularity, the 2020 Asian Artist Awards have appeared to do the same in a manner that had fans pulling out receipts.

Out of over fifty awards that were distributed during the Asia Artist Awards, BLACKPINK didn’t receive a single one—despite having one of the best-selling albums of the year. That wasn’t the only thing that had fans royally upset.

During a segment of the awards show, it claimed, “IZ*ONE set the record as the girl group with the highest first-week sales.

While some pointed out that the group did once hold that title, BLACKPINK surpassed them with nearly double the sales.

The fact that the Asia Artist Awards didn’t update their information and didn’t award one of the best-selling K-Pop groups didn’t please fans.

They took to Twitter and trended #AAA_ApologizeToBLACKPINK to draw attention to how the awards show had “discredited” the group’s achievements, especially after topping and ranking high on various Billboard charts with The Album.

Despite how many records BLACKPINK has set and broken, it’s unfortunate to see their hard work being disregarded on so many different occasions. Even so, they always surpass everyone’s expectations.
