In early May, YG Entertainment confirmed that BLACKPINK’s Jennie would attend the 76th Cannes Film Festival for her role in the upcoming HBO show The Idol, which will also be her acting debut.

She will attend the Cannes Film Festival on May 22 through her role in the drama series, ‘The Idol.’ The show was listed in the non-competition section of the film festival.

Rosé also attended the film festival late last week, making her debut in a gorgeous Saint Laurent dress.

Fans have been waiting in anticipation for Jennie’s Cannes red carpet debut, trending her name and associated hashtags hours before the event. The star was one of the last to walk, and fans watched for any sightings, no matter how brief.

On the official live stream for the event, Jennie was spotted with Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan, blowing a kiss towards the camera.

 

Fans couldn’t contain their excitement when she was finally on the red carpet! Jennie looked every bit the royalty she is wearing a gorgeous white princess gown.

The off-shoulder look was accented with sheer black sleeves and a cute headband bow.
