What BLACKPINK's Lisa Really Feels About Featuring In Taeyang's "Shoong!" And Why He Chose Her Over Other Rappers

BIGBANG member Taeyang recently made his long-awaited solo comeback with “Shoong!” It featured world-famous K-Pop idol Lisa from BLACKPINK, perfecting the already great song!

But what do they both feel about the feature? They talked all about it in a recent video where fans were able to see the making of the track’s performance film.

When they weren’t filming, the “Eyes, Nose, Lips” singer revealed that he was very grateful to the “Shut Down” rapper, adding that her participation “means a lot” to him.

For this song, LISA from BLACKPINK helped with the feature, so it definitely means a lot, and I feel great about it.

On the other hand, Lisa gushed over the opportunity. She joyfully explained that she had been a loyal fan of his since she was younger, so she’s elated that she is now working together with him. Additionally, she shared that she is excited and blessed to be doing it.

I was a huge fan of oppa (TAEYANG) since I was a baby. I finally have the chance to make music with my idol oppa, so I’m so excited and I feel so blessed.

“Oppa I love you, thank you!” she cheered while flashing a heart pose with her hands.

Afterwards, the two were interviewed together. The BIGBANG member revealed that he had known without a doubt that only Lisa could be the one to feature in the song. He didn’t see any other rapper who could do it as much justice as she would. With that decision in place, his producers made the featuring possible.

I left out the 2nd verse of this song after it was made, and thought, ‘who could do this part?’ All of us thought that ‘this song has to be with LISA.’ So I was able to do so with the help of our producers and TEDDY hyung.
