Chinese Netizens Come Together To Protect BLACKPINK Lisa Against Racist Attacks
BLACKPINK‘s Lisa has recently been in the spotlight among the Chinese media due to rumors claiming that she is being discriminated in Korea.
Keywords relating to Lisa such as “Lisa is discriminated in Korea,” “Lisa no-makeup face” and “let’s protect Lisa” have been on the search lists of various Chinese social media and web portals including Weibo.
The comments that angered the netizens attacked Lisa and her Thai background, saying that she was only attractive because of Korean makeup and underneath she was just an average Thai woman.
After seeing negative comments about Lisa on a Korean web portal, Chinese netizens have been voicing criticism against the K-netizens, calling them “crayfish” (slang term used to describe those who don’t see and listen to others) and mocking them for groundless claims.
They have joined in on protecting Lisa from these malicious attacks and “respecting Lisa.”
In fact, the hashtag #RespectLisa has been trending among international BLINKs for some time now. Numerous fans and even GOT7‘s BamBam have been defending her against these hateful attacks.
