Following YG Entertainment’s announcement that BLACKPINK‘s Jennie would be attending the 76th Cannes Film Festival, fans speculated that Rosé would also participate in the event as an ambassador for Saint Laurent.

She later confirmed her appearance in an Instagram story that showed a bouquet of roses and a handwritten letter welcoming her to Cannes from Saint Laurent’s creative director Anthony Vaccarello.

On May 17, Rosé was spotted attending the premiere of Pedro Almodóvar’s short film Strange Way Of Life, starring Ethan Hawke and Pedro Pascal. The film marks the debut of Saint Laurent Productions, a subsidiary of Saint Laurent.

She quickly became the main event, impressing fans with her beauty while wearing casual clothes.

Fans were hopeful she would also walk the event’s red carpet, and their wishes were fulfilled! Soon after the red carpet began, Rosé was spotted wearing a gorgeous open-backed black dress and had a new hairstyle!

Normally, Rosé has longer bangs that frame each side of her face, but for this event, she had much shorter ones slicked to her forehead. Her hair was also up in an updo, making her look very different from usual.

Many fans love the look and think the short bangs gave Rosé a more cute appearance, reminiscent of American actress Audrey Hepburn.

Others are not fans, saying they’re too short, with many continuing to worry about her hair’s overall health. Some even say that Rosé’s beauty is what saves the look.

Despite mixed opinions over the look, Rosé is a gorgeous and talented woman, regardless of her styling.
