BLACKPINK YouTube channel hits a million subscribers

In just over a month since debuting with “Boombayah” and “Whistle” in early August, girl group BLACKPINK has hit a record number subscribers for rookies!

As of September 14th KST, the rookie YG Entertainment girl group has achieved an overwhelming number of subscribers, recorded at 1,006,342 at the time of writing.

The girl group has proven to be quite a success for rookies who only debuted just a little over a month ago. They have already won their first music show trophy for “Whistle” on August 21st on Inkigayo, breaking the record of fastest rookie to win an award following their debut. BLACKPINK has since then won two additional music show trophy, one on M! Countdown on September 8th and their second Inkigayo win on September 11th.

Their double title tracks’ music videos are also getting high view numbers with “Boombayah” at 35.7 million views and “Whistle” at 29.5 million views in just a little over a month.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is said to be already gearing up for another album release and promotion.
