BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” Is Officially The Most-Watched K-Pop MV In 24 Hours On YouTube

BLACKPINK has taken PSY’s crown…and they aren’t giving it back.

BLACKPINK‘s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” MV has broken PSY‘s record, making it YouTube’s most-watched K-Pop music video in 24 hours.

On June 15, the “DDU-DU DDU-DU” MV racked up 36.2 million views, surpassing BTS‘s “FAKE LOVE” (35.9 million) and record-holder, PSY’s “Gentleman” (36.0 million). Overall, the “DDU-DU DDU-DU” MV ranks seventh on YouTube list of most-watched in 24 hours videos.

YouTube’s list includes videos of every kind, not just music videos. When looking at only music videos, “DDU-DU DDU-DU” is the second most-watched MV in its first 24 hours.

Taylor Swift‘s “What You Made Me Do” is in first place with 43.2 million views.

In less than a month, BLACKPINK has gone from YG Entertainment‘s neglected girl group to one of the hottest K-Pop acts of 2018.

BLACKPINK’s comeback track has done nothing but smash records since it dropped, and now more people are becoming BLINKs every day.
