BoA becomes the first female idol to hold concert at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts
BoA will be holding a solo concert in Korea for the first time in two years at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, making her the first female idol to do so.
On June 24th, SM Entertainment confirmed the news by announcing, “On August 22nd and 23rd, BoA will be holding a concert to commemorate her 15th debut anniversary at the Sejong Cultural Center’s Grand Theater in Seoul.”
Holding a concert at the Sejong Center of Performing Arts is not an easy feat and can be considered a dream stage to pop singers. This latest conquest as an artist has further proven BoA’s status as a top female singer in Korea as she celebrates her 15th year.
BoA made her debut in 2000, merely at the age of 13 years, with ID; Peace B, and has since then paved the way for Korean artists to work in Japan. She has released several hit songs including “No.1,” “Listen To My Heart,” “Atlantis Princess,” “My Name,” “Girls On Top,” and many more in her 15 years of singing.
She recently made a comeback with her 8th album Kiss My Lips with short promotions. After 13 years, BoA finally held her first Korean nationwide tour in 2013, and after another two years passed, she will once again be greeting Jumping BoAs (fanclub) with a concert this August.
