BOYNEXTDOOR‘s Leehan was recently caught in controversy when a pre-debut photo of him surfaced online. Leehan looked visibly younger in the photo that netizens have estimated to be from his middle or high school days.
The issue was with how he seemed to be smoking in the photo. Although it is unclear if he or the friend in the background was the one holding the cigarette, the smoke coming from Leehan’s mouth is evident.
Although it is unclear if he was in middle or high school then, both would put him in the category of a minor. Smoking as a minor is illegal in South Korea, as with many other countries. His other pre-debut photos were brought up again for comparison.
This is not the first time that Leehan’s pre-debut antics have caught fire. Previously, he got into controversy for his graduation photo which contained a profanity.
