The September 4 episode saw the number of trainees cut in half, leaving only 24 participants. Several fan favorites, including DKB‘s Harry June, Seowon, and Yichen, did not make it into the top 24 on the September 4 episode of the show.

Reactions have been strong as fans express sadness and other emotions over these eliminations.

Sadness over the elimination of trainees is not unusual, however, many of the reactions seem more connected to the remaining trainees, including those in the top 8 spots.

Currently, former Trainee A‘s Sangwon and Leo, Zhou Anxin, He Xinlong, Kim Junseo, Chung Sanghyeon, Kim Geonwoo, and Yoo Kangmin make up these top spots, with only small changes from previous top line-ups.

While some have questioned the skills of these individuals, the scandals associated with them have left many viewers feeling dissatisfied over the results.

Leo has faced scrutiny over his misogynistic lyrics, which included mentions of rape and assault and were believed to be part of the reason he departed from Trainee A. Sangwon has also been accused of “incel” behavior and called unprofessional after photos of him at clubs surfaced.
