Netflix’s “To All The Boys” K-Drama Spin-Off “XO, Kitty” Shocks Fans With Unexpected Sex Scene

Do you feel old yet?

Spoiler Alert

This article reveals plot details of a current movie or series.

Fans of Netflix‘s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise, adapted from Jenny Han‘s novels, have been anticipating the spin-off drama series, based in South Korea, since it was announced.

Titled XO, Kitty, it focuses on Lara Jean (Lana Condor)’s little sister Kitty (Anna Cathcart) and her own love story after she successfully “matchmade” her sister in the first installment.

Previously, in the third film, To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Kitty and her family visited South Korea to reconnect with their deceased mother’s side. During the visit, Kitty met Dae (Jeon Ho Young), who became her boyfriend.

Although Kitty moved back to the U.S., the two kept in touch. In the preview for the spin-off drama XO, Kitty, she convinces her dad, Dr. Dan Covey (John Corbett), to let her go to the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS), as not only her mom attended it, but Dae does now as well.

Based on the previews thus far, the show is giving very much “K-Drama vibes.”

Most of it was filmed in Seoul, and many of the actors are Korean. For example, you might recognize Dae’s new actor, Choi Min Young, from the hit K-Drama Twenty Five Twenty One. He played Baek Yi Jin (Nam Joo Hyuk)’s younger brother.

Based on the new trailer, it appears that there will be a love triangle, too, after it’s discovered Dae has another girlfriend! Time to pick a team.

That’s not what shocked fans, though. There was something else quite unexpected in the trailer…

In one brief clip, Kitty appeared in a men’s button-up, wrapping her bare legs around a shirtless man (spoiler alert: it’s not Dae!) who lifted her. There are certainly some spicy implications there.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before fans were shook.

For one thing, Lara Jean didn’t have sex until the last film. So, they were not expecting this to happen so soon.

Not only that, but wasn’t Kitty in the sixth grade literally yesterday? To be fair, Cathcart is already 19 years old, and the first film was released in 2018. We definitely feel old, though.

You can stream XO, Kitty on May 18 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below.
