Bruno Mars’s “BTS Shade” Goes Viral After “2026 Grammy Awards” Losses With BLACKPINK’s Rosé

“Their loss is well deserved.”

Following “APT” failing to win any of its three nominations at the 2026 Grammy Awards, old comments made by Bruno Mars have resurfaced and are once again stirring controversy.

Back in December, Bruno Mars spoke openly about “APT”’s success and Rosé’s global reach. He praised the song’s cultural impact and compared its moment to PSY’s “Gangnam Style,” calling it a rare instance that hasn’t been seen since.

No one says it, but I feel like Rosie is the first time we’ve seen this. The last time we’ve seen something to this effect was ‘Gangnam Style.’ I still think that was an amazing thing to happen, this guy comes out and he’s talking about Gangnam style and the whole song is in Korean and that’s the learning lesson, the rock star-ness of that.

The absence of any mention of BTS stood out immediately. Given BTS’s well-documented role in expanding K-Pop’s presence globally, some fans interpreted Bruno’s remarks as dismissive.

Now, with “APT” walking away empty-handed, those earlier comments are circulating again. Some fans are revisiting the controversy to argue that the praise surrounding “APT” was overstated, while others see the situation as ironic given the Grammy outcome.

Meanwhile, the “APT” snub at the 2026 Grammy Awards has sparked major fears surrounding K-Pop idols. You can read more about it below.
