BTS’s “ARIRANG” Will Feature American DJ Diplo, Promising A World-Shattering Album

BTS collaborated with American DJ Diplo on their fifth full-length album, ARIRANG.

According to the U.S. entertainment media TMZ on the 8th (local time), Diplo told TMZ on the 7th, “I worked with BTS,” adding, “It’s a crazy album and will surprise the world.”

BTS will release their fifth studio album ARIRANG and make their comeback on the 20th of next month. The album includes a total of 14 tracks, but details about the songs Diplo participated in have not been disclosed.

Diplo, known for his work with project groups like Major Lazer and LSD, has composed numerous hits including “Lean On” and “Thunderclouds.” He has also collaborated multiple times with K-pop artists, participating in the composition of BLACKPINK‘s “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” and Jennie‘s solo track “Like JENNIE.”

Diplo said, “I feel lucky to have earned BTS’s trust and to be able to create incredible music,” adding, “This will be the biggest project of my life.”

About the members, he said, “They were all creative and fun,” emphasizing, “Jungkook’s voice was perfect even without autotune.”

With ARIRANG, BTS will resume group activities after 3 years and 9 months since their anthology album Proof in June 2022. On March 21, the day after the album release, they will hold a comeback commemorative performance in Gwanghwamun.
